MIZU ASIAN BISTRO
WHERE: East End, Cayman Islands
WHY GO? To experience the true island side of Cayman you have to venture to the district of East End where the pace is slow, the breeze is cool and the food is even more authentic than you can imagine. Tucked away at Ocean Frontiers dive shop is where you’ll find perhaps the best lionfish tacos on island at Eagle Rays - an adorable spot overlooking a tranquil beach.
Just a short drive up the road you'll find Chef Ron and his family at Tukka. Perfectly fusing Caymanian and Australian flavors in his dishes. Chef Ron offers heart-felt, masterful meals putting a contemporary spin on tradional Aussie food, all in a beachy, serene setting. You have to try crowd-pleasers like the jam-packed, delicious Aussie burger, some of the flame-seared seafood and the Tukka brochette.
Tukka also boasts a brunch you won’t want to miss out on, a lively happy hour and a ‘Hook it and Cook it’ excursion, which is self explanatory and we don’t want to spoil the fun. Watch the soaring Frigate Birds and the pretty sky turn a shade of burnt orange, as another day in paradise comes to a close.
