Most of Grand Cayman's nightlife is concentrated in the Seven Mile Beach (SMB) area, bar a few local favourite spots in West Bay and George Town. Though too many to name all our favourites, we've compiled this season's top picks below.

Backroom

The sophisticated Backroom Bar is a hidden gem, easily missed if you don't know where to look but as rewarding as hidden treasure once discovered. It's old-world Gentleman's club charm can be attributed to the heavy leather seating and dark wood finishes. The cocktails are beautifully and skilfully prepared by friendly, professional barkeep who pay just as much attention to the playlist as they do the drinks.

Royal Palms

This beachfront hub offers more than a lively atmosphere and panoramic views of the Caribbean blues. On days when the cruise ships are in port, Royal Palms transforms into a playground for holiday-goers and local. Poolside DJs entertain guests perched in private cabanas and bottle service available to those so inclined. Should bottle service not be to your liking there's always the swim-up pool bar. Royal Palms' Itoe-in sand-shoes-optional policy creates a tropical and relaxed atmosphere. During the day spend your time adventuring in the crystal clear waters or lounging on a beach chair. Herald in the evening and bid farewell to the day-trippers with a cocktail in hand as the dancefloor opens up to those left behind for an evening of dancing until the early morning light.

Barolo Lounge

The intimate lounge is a popular Friday night dancing spot, transforming from trendy eatery to equally trendy dance floor in 2/4 time. The resident DJ, resident DJ R.K.M. sets the tone to the weekend with the latest music while the skilled bartenders see to it that your well of expertly crafted drink never runs dry.

Lone Star

Laidback Tex-Mex meets Caribbean casual at this Seven Mile Beach favourite. The menu offers BBQ, delicious and heady frozen Margaritas and themed entertainment almost every night of the week including Rock n' Roll Bingo, Trivia night, Jam Night & an annual roster of live and special events that includes a Cowgirl dance-off. Big screen sports come standard.
